Who works at Outcomes Lab?
Outcomes Lab is a team of clinical neuropsychologists, psychologists and behaviour support practitioners, founded and led by Clinical Neuropsychologist Julian Vilsten. We work across Melbourne and in Port Lincoln, South Australia. Every referral is reviewed by Julian and matched to the practitioner with the right skills, region and capacity.

Clinical Neuropsychologist and Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner
Julian founded Outcomes Lab and leads its clinical team. He has worked in mental health for more than 15 years, close to a decade of it in the NDIS, with people who have complex support needs. He reviews every referral and supervises the clinical team.

Who are the practitioners at Outcomes Lab?
We're a team of psychologists, neuropsychologists and behaviour support practitioners, each registered with AHPRA or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Every practitioner works in a neuroaffirming way, building support around how a person thinks and communicates. HOW WE WORK
How does the Outcomes Lab team work together?
Outcomes Lab clinicians don't work in isolation. Complex cases are discussed as a team, every referral is reviewed by our clinical director before we say yes, and practitioners have regular supervision, so the person you support gets the benefit of the whole team, not just one clinician.

Every referral is reviewed
Julian reviews every referral to check we have the right skills and capacity. If we are not the right fit, we tell you up front.
Our clinicians are supported
We hire for skill and integrity, then back people with regular supervision and training, so they can do their best work and stay.

Can I choose which practitioner I work with?

Yes, you can ask for someone by name. We'll match you based on the person's needs, where you live and who has capacity, and if someone else would suit better we'll explain why.
Who reviews referrals at Outcomes Lab?

Every referral is reviewed by our founder and clinical director, a Clinical Neuropsychologist and Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner who also supervises the clinical team.
Does Outcomes Lab have practitioners outside Melbourne?

Yes. We provide positive behaviour support in Port Lincoln and surrounding towns in South Australia. For people outside our regions, we can also provide support by telehealth.
