Let's make your About Me

A few simple questions, a couple at a time. Skip any that don't fit.

Who is this About Me for? *
How your answers are kept private

The builder uses an AI model to write your profile. Your answers are sent securely, aren't stored by us and aren't used to train the model. They do still pass through an outside AI service, though, and the safest habit with any online tool is to share only what's needed. Your profile doesn't need your address, date of birth or NDIS number, so please leave them out. The finished page gets printed and handed to new people too, so it's best without them.

By starting, you agree to our privacy policy.

A friendly introduction, not a behaviour support plan, risk assessment or clinical report.

WHAT YOU GET

One page, in your own voice

The profile is written in the first person, whoever fills it in. It only includes the headings you have something to say about, from this list:

A bit about meThings I loveMy strengthsHow I communicateSensory and regulationWhat helps meThings that don't helpHow to support me wellWhat's worked well beforeImportant people in my life

Share it with support workers, family, teachers, coordinators, allied health, or anyone else who helps out.

ABOUT ME

Sam

A bit about me

•I'm in my twenties and I love knowing what's coming next in my day.

•I'm autistic, I notice small details, and I've got a dry sense of humour once I know you.

Things I love

•Trains, maps and anything with a timetable.

•My Saturday morning hot chocolate at the same cafe.

How I communicate

•Please ask me one thing at a time and wait for my answer.

•If I go quiet, I'm usually thinking, not ignoring you.

Sensory and regulation

•Loud, sudden noises and bright lights are hard for me.

•Headphones and a quiet corner help me settle.

What helps me

•Tell me the plan, and let me know early if it changes.

•Use clear, direct language. I take things literally.

How to support me well

•Be patient, be predictable, and keep your word.

•Notice what's going well, not only what's hard.

QUESTIONS

Questions about the About Me builder

Is the About Me builder free?

Yes. It's free to use, for anyone.

Can I fill it in for someone else?

Yes. Choose "Someone I support" at the start. The questions are about the person you support, and the finished page is still written in their voice.

What happens to my answers?

Your answers are only used to write your profile. They're sent securely, aren't stored by us and aren't used to train the AI model. They do still pass through an outside AI service, though, and the safest habit with any online tool is to share only what's needed. Your profile doesn't need your address, date of birth or NDIS number, so please leave them out. The finished page gets printed and handed to new people too, so it's best without them.

Is this a behaviour support plan?

No. It's a friendly introduction, not a behaviour support plan, risk assessment or clinical report. If something serious comes up, talk to a clinician or your support team.
